Snigdha Verma
Founder and CEO
Snigdha graduated with an MSc. in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University, US, in 2010. She started her career with The World Bank - International Finance Corporation, and Global Environment Facility in Washington, DC (Publication, World Bank 2012). After a decade in the US, she joined as a Resident Fellow at a leading civil society, Barefoot College, spending peak summers and winters sleeping and cooking on floors in villages, helping deliver babies in primary care centers, support the safe transport of women tea plantations workers during COVID-19 -- eventually to appreciate the wisdom and resilience that they had to offer. (Interview with Sansad TV, 2020). After over 5 years in rural India and to contribute at scale through the government system, she joined as the Head of Department at a leading Public Sector Undertaking in India, creating internationally registered carbon assets for rural energy efficiency and public electric mobility projects. In 2025, she launched GPPL with projects in clean energy exploration in Central Asia, low-methane rice cultivation via Japanese carbon markets in South Asia, World Health Innovation Summit UK for Asia, and global mental health prevention through yoga-based Pranayam Call Centre™. Snigdha is an active contributor on global platforms: as the India vice-chair for World Health Innovation Summit (WHIS), UK, visiting fellow at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia leading to a research publication (PLoS ONE, 2018), and panelist at the Tufts Energy Conference Boston, Carbon Forward Middle East, UN CSW, and IETA Climate Summits. She was honoured with the Distinguished Leadership Award by the Times of India Foundation in 2026 and the Woman in Power Award by India Smart Grid Forum in 2024.
